The Vertix has an axle to axle length of 30", brace height of 6" and reaches blistering IBO speeds up to 343 feet per second.

Mathews' 2019 flagship bow, the Vertix, certainly does. It's outfitted with an integrated, patent-pending arrow-rest mounting system, the new Engage grip and Mathews' Crosscentric Cams upgraded with the new SwitchWeight Technology (modular draw-weight change).

Mathews Vertix Specs

All of the specs for the Mathews Vertix add up to the perfect hunting bow. The 30” axle-to-axle length offers excellent stability, and at 4.67 lbs. mass weight, it's easy to handle. The IBO speed of 343 FPS is super-fast considering the 6” brace height.

A common configuration for a 5 pin sight is 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 yards. It's pretty typical to have 10 yards between each pin, but there are those that may extend that to even 20 yards. 20 yard gaps are more common in 3 pin sights. In that case an example of a 3 pin sight would be 20, 40, and 60 yards.

In general, a good arrow speed for deer hunting is between 250 and 300 feet per second pending your TAW. This range of velocity with the correct arrow provides more than enough kinetic energy and momentum to effectively take down a deer while also maintaining accuracy at typical hunting distances.

Mathews Vertix Specs

It is available with draw lengths from 26-30.5”, at peak weights of 60-75lbs. You can find it at retailers for $1099. The 2019 Mathews VERTIX is the peak of versatility and performance.

For those of you who are loyal to other rests, like a Ripcord Max Micro or other brands, the Vertix also accomdates a standard mounting option. Draw weight options are 60, 65, 70, and 75lbs and changed with a simple module swap. Letoff is 80 and 85%, and draw lengths runs 26" to 30.5" in half inch increments.

Adjusting the draw length on your Mission bow has never been easier than with new FastFit Cam Technology. Draw lengths can be changed in under 30 seconds with the simple use of an allen wrench. Loosen, slide and retighten. It's that easy.

You can also fine-tune your bows draw length by increasing or decreasing the size of your D-loop. You can also twist or untwist your strings and cables. Twisting the cables an even amount on each side will lengthen your draw length, untwisting them will shorten your draw length.

It's important to know your draw length before purchasing a compound bow, particularly because a few models cannot be adjusted. And if the draw length is adjustable, you'll often need a bow technician's help, perhaps with a bow press and even new parts. A compound bow's cams determine the draw length.
